On October 4th, 1918, Charles Patterson, a 29-year-old resident of Aspinwall, died in St. Francis Hospital. This was the first known death caused solely by the Influenza Pandemic that would soon encapsulate #Pittsburgh. pic.twitter.com/vUvgC0CMEb
